Community Service - Committee meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 12pm in the Town Center area.
The Community Service Committee shall identify opportunities for the Association and its Members to engage in community service projects in the Hampton Roads, Virginia, metropolitan area; plan and coordinate such projects; and discharge any other duties the Board of Directors may require.
Finance Committee - Committee meetings are quarterly or on an as-need basis.
The Finance Committee shall be charged with assisting the Treasurer in budget preparation and managing the accounts of the Association. The Finance Committee shall act in an advisory capacity to the Treasurer, the President and the Board of Directors in connection with financial matters and shall discharge any other duties the Board of Directors may require.
Membership Committee - Committee meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 8:30am in the Town Center area.
The Membership Committee shall identify and maintain contact with prospective and new Members of the Association; process and review membership applications; be responsible for maintaining balanced representation among the Members from each Qualified Field of Commercial Real Estate; keep meeting attendance records for Active Members; advise the Board of Directors of any Members in default of renewal qualifications and send membership termination notices to those in default; recommend membership policies and requirements to the Board of Directors; and discharge any other duties the Board of Directors may require.
Programs Committee - Committee meetings are on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 4:00pm at the Old Point office in either Ghent or Hilltop.
The Program Committee shall plan the content and programming for the Association’s meetings; obtain speakers for such meetings; plan and coordinate the logistics of the Association’s meetings, including the facilities, and refreshments; and discharge any other duties the Board of Directors shall require.
Public Relations Committee - Committee meetings are prior to each luncheon at the luncheon venue from 10:30-11:30am.
The Public Relations Committee shall plan, coordinate and maintain the Association’s web-site; coordinate and handle the Association’s public relations and promote the Association and its activities; and discharge any other duties the Board of Directors may require.
Special Events Committee - Committee meetings are on the 4th Thursday of the month at 12pm in downtown Norfolk.
The Special Events Committee shall, be responsible for organizing the annual end of year holiday function and an annual fundraiser to benefit the projects of CREW-Hampton Roads as shall be determined by its Board of Directors. The Special Events Committee shall coordinate other networking activities outside of the monthly luncheon programs, at the request of the Board of Directors or that it deems appropriate to further the mission of CREW Hampton Roads.
Sponsorship - Committee meetings are by telephone conference the first Monday of the month at 2:00 pm.
The Sponsorship Committee shall identify sponsorship opportunities and actively solicit sponsors for the Association and its activities and shall discharge any other duties the Board of Directors may require.
Advisory Council - Committee meetings are on an as needed basis.
The Advisory Council shall assist the Board of Directors by addressing issues that arise and help shape the future of CREW Hampton Roads through forward thinking and strategic action. Advisory Council members will be appointed by the Board of Directors from the Active classification of membership on an honorary basis and will meet on an as-needed basis. The past two presidents immediately having retired from the Board of Directors will be standing members of the Advisory Council.
Nominating Committee - Committee meetings are held May - August.
The Nominating Committee shall select a slate of nominees from Active and Affiliate Members as candidates for Officers and Directors, all of whom shall be elected at the next Annual Meeting of the Association and shall serve on the Board of Directors the year next following. The chairperson of the Nominating Committee shall notify the Secretary in writing of the names of such candidates at least four (4) weeks prior to the date set for the Annual Meeting. The Secretary shall mail (either electronically or via the U.S. Postal Service) a copy of the slate of nominees to each member of the Association at least three (3) weeks prior to the date set for the Annual Meeting or the date set for returning ballots.
Strategic Planning Committee - Committee meetings are on an as needed basis.
The Strategic Planning Committee shall be responsible for (1) reviewing and evaluating the strategic plan and various programs of the Association and (2) making recommendations to the Board of Directors for the strategic direction of the Association.
